    Description

Presented tonight is this very impressive Hopi Kachina doll depicting He'e'e Wuhti, the Warrior Maiden Kachina. In antiquity, He'e'e was doing her hair up in Hopi maiden swirls, when she spotted Paiute warriors about to attack her village. She grabbed a bow and arrows, and managed to hold them off until warriors could arrive and drive off the attack. Her courage immortalized her as a Kachina, and she is always shown with disheveled hair.
Standing 10 inches tall, this wonderful example is exquisitely carved by the renowned Wally Grover, easily one of the most recognizable carvers today. Living on First Mesa, Wally displays his work annually at the Heard Museum, and at the Hopi Festival at the Museum of Northern Arizona. In addition to being a featured artist in galleries throughout the Southwest, his work is also featured at the Kokopelli Gallery in Tokyo. His work is vivid and imaginative, and it is a rare pleasure to make his work available to you, especially at such a modest price! If contemporary carving by well-known artists is what you collect, then CERTAINLY this is the doll for you! Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, I will immediately return the full purchase price, including the return shipping. Look at the pictures, and you’ll agree, this piece would look great in any Kachina doll collection. Don’t let this rare opportunity pass you by. Thanks for looking, and congratulations in advance to the lucky buyer! Best Regards, Rich
