    Description

    The APS-40HF is a diffraction ring tweeter, AKA bullet tweeter, made in Russia for high end HiFi applications. The manufacturer data sheet states it has a frequency response from 4 KHz to 25 KHz at 110 dB/W/M efficiency.  Recommended cross-over frequency is 5 KHz  with a 18 dB/8ave high pass network. Average power rating is 40W from an edge wound, flat wire, copper clad 51mm aluminum voice coil suspended in a 600g ferrite magnet producing a fully symmetric field with 2 flux dampening rings. The surround is polyamide with a 300W peak power rating. This tweeter is designed for rear mounding in 18mm or 12mm thick  enclosure face. Some shop wear is evident in the photos. Compare more than favorably to JBL at twice the price
